Medical disclaimer
This page is maintained by FitWithPoorva to explain how the nutrition content, quizzes and coaching on this site should — and shouldn’t — be used.
Education, not medical advice
Everything published on FitWithPoorva — journal articles, guides, downloadable PDFs, the nutrition quiz, social posts and coaching materials — is general nutrition and lifestyle education. It is not medical advice, and it does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition.
Reading this site, downloading a guide or booking a session does not create a doctor–patient or clinician–patient relationship.
Always talk to your own clinician
Your medical history, medication, lab results and personal circumstances matter, and none of them can be assessed through a website. Please speak to your doctor, a registered dietitian, or another qualified healthcare professional before changing your diet, starting supplements, or altering your exercise routine.
Never delay or disregard professional medical advice because of something you read here, and never stop or adjust prescribed medication on the basis of this content.
Hormonal and metabolic conditions
Content about PCOS, PCOD, thyroid health, perimenopause, menopause, insulin resistance and related topics is written to help you understand your body and eat more supportively. These are medical conditions that require proper diagnosis, blood work and ongoing supervision by a gynaecologist, endocrinologist or physician.
Nutrition can support treatment. It is not a replacement for it, and no food, meal plan or eating pattern described here should be used instead of prescribed care.
Coaching programs
Coaching programs are nutrition and habit-coaching services. They are not clinical dietetics, medical nutrition therapy, or treatment for any diagnosed condition. Plans are built from the information you share and are educational in nature.
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, managing a chronic illness or eating disorder, recovering from surgery, or taking regular medication, please obtain clearance from your doctor before starting a program, and tell your coach about anything relevant to your health.
No guaranteed results
Nutrition outcomes vary from person to person and depend on genetics, medical history, sleep, stress, activity, adherence and many other factors. Nothing on this site should be read as a promise of a specific result, weight change or health outcome.
Emergencies
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital immediately. Do not use this website, email or WhatsApp for urgent medical concerns.
